Global Humanitarian Outreach Inc. (GHO) was established by Dr. Sharon Pittman in 2002 to accommodate her Master's in International Development students at Andrews University in Michigan. She found that many young people had a passion to serve, but had a limited ability to acquire donations because their donations were not tax deductible. Thus GHO was created.
Sharon brought GHO with her to Southern Adventist University in Tennessee. That's where I (Joshua Sunderland-Board Member) got involved. Years later, Sharon retired from teaching and went back to her passion for development in Africa. Due to her heavy workload, she's resigned from GHO. We hope to have her back when she's got a little more time. Today, we've moved to La Grange, CA, and have a vibrant development and missions experienced board with a passion for helping people thrive mentally, spiritually, and physically. Our aim is to assist people with passions for service to comply with our 501(c)(3) standards so that they can fund-raise and receive tax deductible donations for their projects. We'll update this site later to show all our past projects.
